Management Status: Open access Area Description: Coral assemblages in the Kahe nearshore area have been under intensive investigation since 1970 and 1971, initially in relation to thermal discharges by the Kahe Power Station. Pili o Kahe has acted as a control site. Residential shoreline with eroded limestone drops precipitously to 3 meter depth. Pavement and sand channels supporting low coral cover. Southern exposed site. Evidence for previous hurricane damage. Watershed Information
